Become a citizen scientist for a day and join our scientists and naturalists surveying the biodiversity of the Reserve and collecting data.

We are very excited to have organised our first Casuarina Coastal Reserve BioBlitz! On the weekend of 29 March, we invite you to explore and survey flora and fauna in this newly established National Park at our doorstep. No matter your experience, this is the perfect opportunity for all nature lovers to spend time in the Reserve with an enthusiastic expert. You are guaranteed to learn something new, develop your ID skills and connect with some fellow nature lovers.
There are a wide variety of surveys to join, so you’re sure to find something you love! You can join as many surveys as you like, choose from birds, reptiles, vegetation, microbats, ants, and small mammal surveys. If you want to learn more about the Reserve’s fascinating biodiversity, this event is for you!
Highlights
- 21 exciting flora and fauna surveys, conducted in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Join our amazing survey leaders and learn about the Reserve’s biodiversity.
- All surveys will collect valuable data that will contribute to better caring for the Reserve.
- Some lab activities at the Base Camp to analyse data and share findings.
